Mario Erazo

Honduras Field Manager

Mario Alejandro Erazo Galeano is Thread’s Honduras Field Manager. I was born and raised in Tegucigalpa (Honduras Capital). He is the second of 3 brothers, raised by a strong widow mother since 1991 when my father passed away. Since that time my brothers and I have had the best role model we could ask for in every aspect of life.

He had the opportunity, that not every Honduran has, studying in a bilingual school in Honduras, with the help of his mother and grandfather. When he graduated from school, following the advice of his mother, he started working in in different jobs that to this day showed him lots of knowledge in different areas. After school he started a major in Business Administration focused on Tourism. Mario started giving classes for a Technical Career to prepare young poor people to study and have an opportunity in the Call Center Industry in Honduras. He started working on his area of expertise which was hotels in positions such as, Front Desk Agent, Customer Service Agent, Maitre, cook, Food & Beverage Manager and Events Planning Manager.

Finally, he started his Masters degree in Strategic Marketing which he’s still pursuing. Prior to joining Thread he had the chance to go live to Hermosillo, Sonora (Mexico) with a small drilling company with a small 6 month contract to create their Marketing Department.

What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?

Professionally I’ve been known for being dependable and for being a people’s person. I have a knack for sports and solving puzzles, even though there are some that I’ve never solved like a Rubik’s cube. (Still I hopefully have plenty of time to figure it out.)

What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & contribution you can make?

Professionally I’m most passionate in helping in finding a solution to problems. What it excites me more about this job is that I have the opportunity in making a difference. Giving and caring about that extra mile.

What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can´t you stop talking about?

For me, I would say that what I have more passion, I enjoy and can’t stop talking about is my family and my country.

How do you want to be remembered?

As a guy who cared and tried to make a difference.
