Stephanie Langol

Finance Manager

Stephanie is Thread’s first full-time in-house Finance Manager, “Keeper of the Numbers” if you will.  She handles all things accounting and finance from paying the bills to processing payroll to keeping everyone on budget.  Stephanie brings over 20 years of accounting experience to Thread from a part-time bookkeeper’s assistant in high school, to her first post-college job as an A/P Clerk and all the way up to CPA accounting/audit/tax.  After taking a brief break from number crunching to have her kiddos, Stephanie was eager to fill this role at Thread because she wanted more than a paycheck.  Thread provides an opportunity to be a part of something great in this world.

What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?
I love, love, love to organize!!  Give me a mess and watch me go.  My favorite wedding gift was a label maker (which was meant to be a joke) from my soon-to-be sister-in-law.  I also pride myself on a perfectly reconciled general ledger.  If it’s off a penny, I WILL find it!

What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?
I want to understand my role in the big picture and know that my hours pored over debits, credits and spreadsheets really make a difference for the business.  I want the value I add to the business to be irreplaceable.  Working for an organization that is striving for something more than profit gives me the warm and fuzzies.  Thread’s mission and purpose gives me more purpose.

What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
I am a wife and mother of two small boys so keeping them happy and healthy is my top priority.  Finding time to grow spiritually and therefore become a better person everyday is critical to me.  I believe self-awareness is rare in this self-absorbed world so I try to always be mindful of how my thoughts, words or actions will impact those around me.  I bleed blue from my days at Penn State and can’t wait for one or both of my boys to play some type of sport there so I can become THAT mom, you know which one I’m talking about.  I also have a passion for high heels, and may or may not make routine trips to NYC to indulge in some red-soled shoe shopping because as Manolo Blahnik said, “Shoes can transform a woman.”

How do you want to be remembered?
I want to be remembered for honoring God by loving others as myself.  Living a life devoted to other people’s happiness over my own.  And raising Jack and Sam to be good men that treat others the way they want to be treated and make a difference in the world no matter how big or small.
